I can’t believe Annabel is already ten months old. The months are going fast, but this one feels like it was only a week long.
She can’t believe it either.
(month one, month two, month three, month four, month five, month six, month seven, month eight, month nine)
weight: 22 pounds 5 ounces
length: 29 inches tall
head: 18.5 inches
hair: insane
I think I put my finger on why the month has gone so fast…
I cannot take my eyes off her for a second, and not just because she’s cute. I sometimes take her to the day care at my gym, and the other day when I picked her up after my workout one of the workers said, “she sure likes to climb things!”
Sigh.
She now has eight teeth – four on top, four on the bottom. I would happily buy her dentures if it meant she never teethed again, but alas.
Her eyes are a mystery. I thought they’d settled on hazel, but they now go back and forth between bluish-green and hazel-ish. Chameleon!
She mimics my noises and some of my expressions and gestures. She is such a crack up. Her mimicking skills are going to come in verrrrrry handy verrrrrrrrrrry soon.
Her 90th percentile in everything has her in 12-18 month clothing, which had me scrambling to get her warm things for the season. It also meant her new friend Molly (who was born on Friday, yay!) got a lot of awesome hand-me-downs. Luckily, it seems like her weight gain has slowed a bit, for this month at least. I’m hoping that means she’ll get a lot more use out of her clothes.
She can walk if someone holds her hands. She LOVES it. So mark my words, she’ll be walking this month.
And then all hell will break loose.
Kate @ UpsideBackwards says:
She just keeps getting more gorgeous, how do you stand it?
And any minute now you can start sending me her hand-me-downs for my 2 1/2-year-old (I kid you not)!
Happy 5/6th birthday, Annie… I bet your Mom & Dad have something HUGE lined up for you in just a couple of months!
edenland says:
Oh my lordy. I want her. The chub! The cute! Can hardly stand it.
I agree, totally think she will be walking before she is one. Good luck, champ. xo
Jenn says:
WHOA!!! 10 Months ALREADY!!! Where did the time go??? I think you’re right…she probably WILL walk early!! I just adore Annie!! She cracks me up with her determination. Both of your girls had that strong determination factor! I wonder where they got that characteristic from???
HAPPY 10TH MONTH ANNIVERSARY ANNIE! Next thing we’ll know…it will be your B-Day and OOHH BOY!!! What a celebration that will be!!!!!
Lynn from For Love or Funny says:
What did you decide to do about the co-sleeping arrangement? Annie is SO active, I can totally relate to your worry about keeping her safe while you and Mike sleep…and sleep is VERY important. You’ll feel so much better if you’re able to get some decent sleep.
Claire says:
I have climbers too! My first walked at 10 months, my 8 month old is already starting to pull up and wants to move all the time! Movers and climbers keep you on your toes that’s for sure!
She is the most adorable little girl and she’ll be turning one before we know it!
catherine Lucas says:
You might need Cesar Millan to whisper her… Or you… grin. More adorable with each passing month!
AmazingGreis says:
Happy 10 months sweet Annie!!
Catherine says:
Nothing to say but adorable! Those thighs, those cheeks..scrumptious.
Be well!
amanda says:
OMG, I love her.
Sue says:
These posts are going to become very interesting, and fun, (for all of US) once that gorgeous little Annie starts struttin’ around!!! Put on your running shoes, Heather! She is beautiful beyond words!!
Jen says:
Happy 10 months to the cutest baby that I know other than my own child! And to the most wonderful couple who inspire me everyday!
Leanne {The Energetic Mommy} says:
I need to squeeze those cheeks! Heather, I don’t think she could get any cuter! Happy ten months Annabel!
Julia says:
Out of my 3 babies, the one that was the climber started walking at 10 1/2 months. My mother-in-law told me at the time that “climbers” read early. Well, he read at 5……so I guess that was somewhat true.
Warning: They walk for 2 days…..then take off running.
Soon Annabel will be able to climb up on the kitchen counter and get her own breakfast and you can catch up on some sleep.
Lisa says:
Wow, 10 months! She is so adorable and clearly knows it and uses it to her advantage to get away with things like climbing on everything I’ll be waiting for that “she’s walking post”.
keri says:
heather, LOVE LOVE LOVE her thighs!!!!!!!!!!!
Jennifer says:
Those panties just about killed me! I love them!
I knew her 10 month pictures would be interesting – the picture of her standing on the chair makes me fear for you! lol
And I don’t know if it’s just me, and I know that she’s always had a lot of hair, but it seems to have really thickened lately? All of a sudden, she’s got mega-tons of hair (as opposed to her previous ‘tons’).
What a cutie!
Four Gambel Girls and A Guy ~ documenting the adventures we call life says:
Love those little girls ~ so cute!
Deborah says:
Happy 10-month birthday, Annie!
(((hugs)))
LisaJ says:
Saeryn turned 11 months on Friday, and to celebrate, she tries to clib up the shelves of the wall unit this weekend.
::::sigh::::
It’s ridiculous, really. But I guess we should be grateful to have confident kiddos?!? At least, that is what I tell myself.
And yeah, based on your pictures, I would guess Annie will be walking soon. S took her first steps last week…still very unsteady, and she still prefers crawling, but she is getting more brazen in the stepping…she curls her toes which is a bit of a hindrance.
I love this months pics…she is ADORABLE, Heather.
Camie says:
I adore her big eyes and pretty mouth! And her hair! She looks like a bundle of occasional trouble but absolute adorableness.
Liz says:
Although my daughter wasn’t much into climbing, she did walk two days after she turned 10 months! Oh boy, was that exciting!!
Annie looks like she is doing great…obviously getting tons of love from her Mommy and Daddy! Happy 10 months Annie!
~Liz
Elizabeth says:
She gets cuter and cuter each month, I can’t believe she’ll be one soon! Oh and walking, it’s a scary thought.
Ashley says:
I used to roll my eyes when people said, “It goes so fast, hang on” or “Enjoy the moments, they’ll soon be gone”. I didn’t have kids so I thought “Ya right, sure. Blah, Blah” but it really does. It’s like watching a really great movie starring you on fast forward.
She’s such a cutie!
Elle says:
Happy 10 months Annabel! Just think in about 30 years you’ll wish you *could* turn back time. And now I have that Cher song stuck in my head….
Marti from Michigan says:
Wow, 10 months already! You’re right, where did the time go? She is adorable! I have a friend with a little boy, 9 months old. He is a climber as well, a real monkey! He learned to turn around and go back down stairs butt first, because he took a couple nasty falls when he went head first. Annabel is a sweet, beauty! Cherish every moment, I know you will.
Glenda says:
Happy 10th Annabel! You are adorable! XO
Alison says:
Dear Annie, we’re all out of fingers to count on for you. Next month, it’s on to the TOES. Wow! And, on a different note, climbing is, like, so totally fun, but WAY STRESSFUL for the adults around you. Have a heart, k?
xoxo
monica says:
I can’t wait to see what she gets into when she’s walking!

MyBabyBeluga says:
She is adorable!
a_guardado@yahoo.com says:
seriously…she is the cutest! and i secretly wish she was coming along to vegas next month ..lol
can’t believe she’s 10 months! geez, pretty soon you’ll be planning her 1st birthday..yikes!
Sarah says:
***WARNING***
There’s a fine line between mimic-ing and mockery…
mags says:
I used to teach preschool..no one had to tell me who was the parent of the little one I spent the day with……………….!!! I would watch the adult (parent) walk through the door…and I KNEW who was their child.
The kid is a little version of the parent………don’t think that they are not – they are your little doppelganger….they are a little “minnie me” version of the parents.
Just an example…older parents (anyone over 30:) – their child would sing nursery rhymes in their “free time”…young parents (early 20’s) – in their “free time play” would sing top 40 songs…too cute!
pamela @vampiresmitten says:
OMG SHE IS JUST TOO CITE!
Veronika says:
Happy 10 months Annie! So close to 1 year old! She is gorgeous and I think you are absolutely right. She’s going to be walking by 11 months. ** sigh **
Tara. says:
Oh Annie. You are just so beautiful! But you’re a little spitfire!
She is so sweet Heather! I cannot believe it’s been 10 months already! That’s crazy. Time to start planning the big birthday bash!
I had a walker at 10 months. It does get crazier!
designHer Momma says:
This is Gage all the way! I bet if we got them together they would wrestle.
Olivia says:
I would love to see videos of Annie being just Annie without voice overs. So many of my favorite videos are of Maddie talking and her reactions to the things around her. Especially the mimicking video with her using her oxygen tube as a musical instrument.
Dawn @ What's Around the Next Bend? says:
Annie is already a blast to watch!
Her being mobile…yeah, I can’t wait!!
Bobbi Janay says:
I don’t know how many months it has taken me but we have the same glider.
Kristen McD says:
Hapy 10 Months Annie!
I’m amazed at how big she is. My two year old only has 2lbs and 2 inches on her. Opposite ends of the growth chart.
Amanda says:
I like to see Annie’s monthly growth stats and photos because my Stella would have been 9 months old this month. I like to see what she would have been doing and what she would have been up to in the next month.
It’s hard too but I am so happy for you and your family to have such an adorable little girl to keep you moving forward.
