Happy almost-Thanksgiving, everyone! We’re getting ready for our annual trek up to the San Francisco Bay Area to spend some time with Mike’s family. It’s going to be cold, so I’ll be buying some sweaters today for the kids…they rudely outgrew all of the cold-weather stuff I bought them last year. I really need them to stop growing, it’s killer on my wallet (and my heart).
Around The ‘Net
Last year I swore that 2015 was going to be the year I finally mailed holiday cards again, and I am actually doing it! Last week, I placed an order for my cards and they should arrive right after Thanksgiving. We went with Minted (that link gets you $25 off your order!), and I am so excited to send them. They are now offering something called “Completely Custom Cards,” where you can take a picture drawn by your child and turn it into card art. Annabel was very excited to draw our family:
Foil-pressed rose gold Height of Happiness card.
On the back, I put family photos:
I can’t wait to send them out!
The amazing people at Minted want to give one of my readers a $200 credit to their store! WOO! To enter, just leave a comment telling me you’d like to win. I will announce a winner on Wednesday after noon, so you can get to ordering your cards ASAP. Winner will be chosen by random.org. Good luck!
~The fabulous people behind Cool Mom Picks have released their 2015 Gift Guide and it’s fantastic. They have a TON of great ideas (my favorites are the crafts for kids, the music gifts, and the Star Wars items) and they are also giving away a $2,000 shopping spree, so check it out.
~This is great for the person who doesn’t want to wash all of their long hair (I know people who swear it works).
~For kids who want to film their own adventures.
~For the disorganized sewer/scrapbooker/crafter you really love.
~If someone you know has always wanted to rescue a Yeti, you’re in luck.
~Every sewer and crafter needs a self-healing mat and rotary cutter.
~Sweaters! Because cozy.
Happy Sunday, everyone!
UPDATE: WE HAVE A WINNER
Kristen, you are the winner! Look for an email from me!
Thank you to everyone who entered. Happy Thanksgiving!
