Yesterday we celebrated sweet little Liam’s second birthday! I can’t believe that little nugget is already two years old. My cousin Leah put together the most adorable Mickey Mouse-themed party for him (Oh TWO-dles, for you Mickey Mouse Clubhouse fans). She even tracked down a fantastic Mickey Mouse Clubhouse piñata, and filled it with enough candy to supply an entire neighborhood.
Happy birthday, buddy! We love you so much!

Annie has been begging to participate in her school science fair since she was in Kindergarten, and this year we’re finally letting her participate. She’s doing some kind of experiment with ferrofluid. I don’t know. This is squarely in the “Mike is taking care of this one” column. But it’s some kind of magnetic liquid, so it sounds cool! I guess my house will be a science lab for the next few weeks.
~I am constantly on the hunt for pants I can coach softball in that a) have pockets and b) keep my jiggling to a minimum. I haven’t found the perfect pair yet, but I am liking this new pair a lot. Anyone have a pair they love?
~I got this Bluetooth speaker so I can play music for my softball team during warm-ups. It’s lightweight, fits in my backpack, and is LOUD. Great for outdoors!
~These pimple patches? MAGICAL. I put one on a deep pimple I could feel forming on my chin and it was completely gone the next day.
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Pricey, but I love these pants.
(No link for the speakers.)
Umm those pimple patches sound amazing.
Great links this week!
Also, would you share this with Annie? I tutor a young lady with some special needs; she is obsessed with 2 things: Mario, and MINECRAFT, specifically Stampy. When I realized this, I brought my laptop to tutoring and we read Annie’s post about meeting Stampy. M thought this was the COOLEST THING EVER and now keeps asking her mom when she gets to meet Stampy. So, thanks Annie for making our tutoring session more fun! We enjoyed reading your story and talking about it together.
I was also going to rec Lululemon pants. Soooo obnoxiously expensive, but they are magical in that they are comfortable as all get out and can make everyone look good. I have a few that I run with and I absolutely love them.
Love these pants, and they’re on sale right now:
Heather, I have about 5 pairs of Tek-gear yoga/workout pants. I get them from kohls and they are always on sale. I swear by them… They hold everything in. It looks to me that we have similar body types. I’m 5’2″. How tall are you?
Oops… I forgot you said you want pockets. I don’t think these pants have them. Still great pants to run around town in… Super comfy.
Being almost 50 and still breaking out sporadically I got right on Amazon and ordered the pimple patches. Just got an email from Amazon that they have been shipped and I should get them tomorrow. So excited to try them! Thanks for the posting about them.
I miss the days of watching Mickey Mouse Club house. My son is going to be a teenager this summer
Those pimple patches are amazing! I feel like adulthood is paying me back for not having acne during my teen years. I will randomly break out on my chin or forehead. I got the patches in the mail yesterday, used them last night, and ta-da, pimple-be-gone today!
