Happy New Year!! It’s 2020! Where is my flying car, where is my robot maid named Rosie? We continued our annual NYE tradition of ringing in the east coast’s new year with our friends at 9pm local time, and west coast new year on our couch at home together. This year Annie had no problem staying up until midnight, but we had to wake James up to watch the ball drop. A lot is on the horizon for our family this decade. Annie pointed out that she will officially become an adult this decade. I’m still trying to process her turning 10 in a few weeks so thanks for that reminder, Annie!

I’m still trying to figure out how we’re twenty years into this century because I SWEAR the nineties feel like they were only 10 years ago.

Where’s My Charger?

I don’t know what it’s like in your house, but in mine USB plugs (the kind you plug a USB cable into and then plug into a wall outlet) are CONSTANTLY being misplaced. It makes me want to pull my hair out. I’m at the point where I think I need to install some of those wall outlet covers that have the USB outlets in addition to the regular outlets. Have any of you done that? I’m pretty handy but I’m also pretty accident-prone so I tend to stay away from things that could get me electrocuted (I also stay away from power tools for this reason). But I’m at my wit’s end with the lost plugs. If you’ve done it, tell me: were they easy to install? Will I electrocute myself? Is the risk of electrocution worth not having to scream, “WHERE’S MY CHARGER!!!” 87 times a day?

Fun Finds
~These sheets are super-soft and come in a bunch of colors and patterns. We have a couple sets!
~Speaking of beds, I got a weighted blanket for Christmas and I wish I’d bought myself one all those months ago when I first started looking at them. As an insomniac, it has been LIFE-CHANGING. Seriously. I received this one and Annie will be receiving something similar for her birthday. Target has a bunch of affordable options!
~James got the “Ring Fit Adventure” game for the Nintendo Switch and it’s SO FUN. Like, I kind of can’t wait for them to go back to school tomorrow so I can play it without sharing.

Happy Sunday, everyone!
