No video today… We’ve had a long 24+ hours of E.R. and doctor visits after Annie suffered an elbow injury. We’ll have updates after we finally get some rest. The good news is that Annie says her elbow only hurts “a little bit,” and it clearly hasn’t affected her smile.

Oh my goodness Annie!!!
Hope you’re ok!!!
Ali says:
Poor Annie! She must be a brave girl, I definitely didn’t have a smile like that when I broke my elbow at 21! (Maybe didn’t have as effective Pain killers, lol)
Lilian says:
Awww, heal quickly Annie! Love that she is still smiling!
Michelle says:
Oh no! Poor baby! One of mine broke his elbow right after turning 3 years old when he jumped down from a climbing structure. Once the cast was on, it was a piece of cake (aside from keeping him from hitting his little brother with his cast!) and he actually cried weeks later when it was taken off (he was super into Star Wars at the time, and called it his “Darth Vader Arm.”) Now he’s 8, and thinks it’s so cool when we look through the keep sake box to see the tiny little cast with all of the well-wishes from family scribbled all over it (yeah…we keep casts. Weird?)
I hope Miss Annie feels all better soon! She sure looks like a brave big girl!
Liz says:

Uh oh!! Hope she’s on the mend soon. Her eyes look very glassy and glazed, did they give her some pain meds or is that just exhaustion setting in?
Hope you all get some rest !

This picture was taken after midnight, so she was definitely tired, but she was also on a pain med that made her a bit loopy (and hilarious).

Oh dear! How exhausting for everyone! She probably did better than I would have. Last time we were in an ER overnight I was pretty much channeling my inner toddler and was whinier than our actual toddler about it.
Hope she’s back to normal soon!
Jeanie says:
Oh, poor Annie! I’m glad she’s not in pain and still takes the cutest pictures.
Sandra says:
No fun! My 10 year old daughter fell on Labor Day wknd while camping 1.5 years ago and broke her humorous at the elbow. Required 3 pins (surgery!). She did great. The first few days there was a lot of pain but and adjusting to the cast took a week or so. After the cast came off her arm was stiff. Kaiser didn’t require any PT but rather just said come back in a month. By 1 month she was moving it like before the accident. We made her practice stretching it out and bending it. Kids are resilient.
Sue says:
Feel better soon sweet Annie!

Poor sweetie! Hope she got the princess treatment at the ER and is feeling better in no time.

Kayla says:
Oh no! ): Feel better soon honey!
Mijke says:
Yikes!! I hope Annie will heal fast and not be in too much pain along the way. She looks very brave, painmeds or not!
You better tell her to make up a brilliant war-story to tell her little brother when he’s here. Make him instantly proud of her and install a healthy dose of fear for his big sister… Something about a large dragon or a horde of angry giants storming the house. A simple fall just won’t cut it I’m afraid…
cj says:
poor miss annie! i hope that she heals quickly. take care!
roshan says:
Her falls and spills will only make her stronger. Not only will she heal faster but she will get better. A nurturing environment surrounds her. Get well soon, Annie.
