Nana's Three Ingredient Biscuits
Recipe type: Side/Bread

Total time:
Serves: 7-10 biscuits
  • 2 cups of Bisquick
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • ⅔ cup milk
  1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick and baking soda.
  3. Slowly add the milk (a bit at a time) and mix thoroughly each time. You are looking for the dough to "ball up." If you've added too much milk, add just a bit more Bisquick until it balls up (vs. being sticky).
  4. Plop the dough onto a floured board. Press the dough down a bit and then fold it over once.
  5. Gently press it down again to about ½" - ¾" thick.
  6. Cut round biscuits out with a drinking glass or biscuit cutter.
  7. You will probably get 4 biscuits the first time (depending on the size of the drinking glass). Gently mold and press the remaining biscuit dough out again and cut additional biscuits.
  8. Place the round biscuits onto an ungreased cooking sheet.
  9. Spread some milk on top of the biscuits with a pastry brush or simply with your fingers.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Keep an eye on them. You don't want to overcook.
