My 5 yr old gets the hiccups whenever she laughs a lot. We tease her. I think it has to do with holding your breath when you laugh hard. Good times : )

Totally cute pictures, Heather!

And Babito used to get the hiccups like that when he laughed a lot or got really excited, so I think it's normal. It's great to hear that Maddie's lungs are doing better. I hope you can get her off the oxygen.

Yay for Maddie's lungs! And boo for only gaining one ounce, but, she is SERIOUSLY active lately, so she's got to be burning calories.

HEY! I thought of a tip I forgot to share with you. I was making the boys lunch and Zach was standing on a chair watching me (don't judge). He noticed the Costco sized Mayonnaise jar (don't judge) and decided it looked like a good place to stick his fist. Which he did and then promptly stuck in his mouth. I, of course, immediately thought "OH! I need to tell Heather about this! Mayonnaise straight-up would be a GREAT thing for Maddie's weight!".

You're welcome.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE the last picture!!!

My youngest did the hiccup after laughing thing and i think she still does every now and then!

Also, neither of my girls were preemie's but both very tiny. When my oldest started walking right when she turned one, a man came up to me in a gym where my husband was playing basketball and said she looks so little to be walking, she is like a "walking baby"....no really??? I still consider ONE a baby!

I know what you are talking about! My 8 month old is about the size of a 3 month old as well. People always ask how old she is and I tell them the truth, so they say, "Oh, she's so tiny, she must have been a preemie." She wasn't, she has had health problems since she was born...but I usually just say "Yeah" and keep going because I don't want to get in to all that....

I'm glad Maddie may be able to lose the oxygen soon!

My boy is almost a year old now, and I take his hiccups as a sign that I have successfully amused him. He gets them EVERY TIME he laughs deeply and for any long period.
She looks like she is having so much fun on that train. Cute!

Wait, did I miss the post about your making a complaint about Dr Lung???

I've had people actually gasp when Erin's stood up. It's funny though, I never had people question her age until now.

I love her curls, so cute!

I haven't seen a baby get hiccups from laughing, but I do. Mine are so strong that I can't talk or do anything until they go away. It is annoying but not really a problem since it doesn't happen too often.
