I have been holding my breath in a sense waiting for the arrival of Binky. Waiting for you to feel the overwhelming love of your second child. And now I am a bit breathless as I remember so clearly the feelings of hold that second baby. I laid in bed crying the night before my son was born, how am I ever going to love this one as much as my first. It will never be the same…. The next day, pure unfiltered love. It’s true my heart expanded, it didn’t push anything out to make room for what was added.
I can’t wait to see pictures of the new and wonderful Annabel. Every evening while reading you updates, my daughter asks to see pictures of Maddie is. Thank you for sharing her with us.

It feels like you had just announced that Maddie was going to become a big sister and now she’s here.
Although I don’t know you this is the best news so far this year.
You and your blog have become a part of my daily life. Every morning (I’m abroad and therefore in a different time zone) I read your blog.
I don’t know what it’s like to loose your child, but I’m a big sister who has lost her little brother and let me tell you that although I barely knew him (as we were both very young when he died) I’m still thinking about him almost every day and I consider him my guardian angel (although I’m not an angel-person). I am sure that Maddie is watching over your little Annabel.
Annabel is so lucky to have you as her parents. I don’t know you, but you are incredible, strong, loving people.

Oh, Heather and Mike!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know what made me type in the name of your blog today. (I know you don’t update on the weekends, so I always check first thing on Mondays.) Now I’ve NEVER been any happier that my fingers typed in a certain set of letters.
I started crying (the happiest of tears) the moment I realized the news I was reading. Annabel Violet, what a perfectly exquisite name. What a beautiful post to welcome her to the world.

OH MY GOODNESS! I AM CRYING RIGHT NOW!!!! SO SO HAPPY!!!! Tears are running down my face. I must be psychic. I know that you don’t write on the weekends (oh wait, that was Friday! That was when Mike wrote the blog AAAAAHHH so clear to me now!). LOL ! Anyway, what a wonderful surprise. What made me especially tear up was the beautiful song that you chose. All of our boys have their own song. My Noah’s was “An Ending (Ascent) by Brian Eno, Sam’s was “If you were here” by the Thompson Twins (yes the Jake Ryan song where he is standing in front of his Porsche!!). Hey I had wonderful NICU fantasies of me carrying Sam out of the NICU with his daddy standing in front of our beloved Camry. LOL! Anyway, I digress… Frank’s song was George Harrison’s “Here comes the sun.” Oh, here comes the tears again. Oh my! What a beautiful day. The sun is out and you have your beloved Annabel. Wow!

I’ve not been able to stray too far from my computer today, as I can’t wait to see baby Annabel! Seriously… my boyfriend thinks I’m nuts. I woke him up this morning when I was squeeling with joy as I read the news. He was like, “Who had a baby? Who is Heather? What is going on?” and I was all like, Dude, even though you don’t get it and even though I don’t *actually* know Heather, this is the best news so far this decade! And then with my heart all aflutter with joy for you, I decided *I* want a baby… and then he really thought I’d lost it. So maybe it’s best you aren’t sharing pics with us yet… because she’s so beautiful and magical that you don’t want us all signing offline and making bad decisions?
But please post soon anyway! I know her pictures will light up the internet with smiles.
