Every marriage requires some input to maintain the burning romance that it started with. Rekindling the fire in marriage should be the desire and committed effort of every married couple. The reason is that with out this the relationship is dead. This is why some basic steps involves in rekindling the fire in marriage is discussed here.

Beautiful Binky Bump!

Agreed that browned fish is yummier.

Have you had quinoa? It is a high-protein grain and pretty yummy. Maybe ask the nutritionist if they haven't already mentioned it?

God bless you, sonny! I have dia-beet-us and it's so great that you are bringing this issue to the attention of people everywhere. With your help we can educate the world about how (ed - insert company name here) can help you lead a better life. Again, God bless you for your service to our cause. You are the best thing to happen to people with Dia-beet-us since Wilford Brimley!

(ed - this might be spam but it's so frakkin funny I just had to let it through.)

LOL @ 'the beetus club' :)
I feel like there is NO way eating all these nuts and eggs and this peanut butter, meat and cheese could possibly be good for me LOL! But, I'm enjoying it so far I guess. I eat lots of veggies too...still haven't gone to my nutrition class (not til Thurs) but they told me I can have whole wheat bread too...one slice at breakfast and two at lunch.
The worst part is only drinking water. I love water, and drink a TON but I'm getting pretty bored of it with every meal too already! I guess I'll break down and see if I can find *something* that doesn't make me gag that is sugar free. I usually hate crystal light and fake sodas...but I guess one more try couldn't hurt! Any tips on the 'best' low sugar drinks?

well i passed the first 2 tests with flying colors.

fasting - 88
1 hr - 160

but the last two went something like this

2 hr - 150 (which is the cut off)
3 hr - 143 (cut off is 140)

so i guess i failed by 3 stupid points? Not sure the dr and the hi -risk dr are going to go over the results and tell me what they decide to do.

blah

She is, Heather... she and I have a contentious relationship at times, but sometimes when I want to scream because she and I are arguing about something, I think about all the things she has been through in life. She almost died at age 4 when she became diabetic and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong (my mom ended up figuring out the diagnosis), and she has dealt with various other immune system disorders, including alopecia (she lost all of her hair at age 18, and it has never grown back). I remember when her first-born daughter was born five years ago, and she came out with a head full of black hair, my sister cried because she had been irrationally worried that her baby wouldn't have hair. When her son was born 3 years later, also perfectly healthy, I realized what a miracle my sister was! She has a lot of strength of spirit and monitors her diseases very closely. (She has an insulin pump that makes things a lot easier on her now).

I'm praying for you during your pregnancy! I am sure you will do wonderfully! You also have a strong fighting spirit!

OOOH I'm glad you at least get to go to a clinic. You'll find out that you CAN have carbs - you need them! Just in limited amounts. The nutritionist I went to was SO helpful. There is hope!

But, sorry you're in The Beetus club now.

Ugh, failed miserably. So much so that they sent me home after the second hour b/c there was NO way I was passing. :(
I was pleased to learn that my doc does refer to a diabetes clinic and I have a class next Thursday. Until then, no carbs for me!
