Swinger

Maddie and I (along with special guests VDog and Little Man) went to the park today. Maddie LOVES this park because it has her two favorite things: swings and ducks.

wheee!

DUCKAS.
Duckeys.

I’m thinking that the last few times we’ve been there, I was either blind or there were NO turtles. I say this because there were turtles EVERYWHERE and I have NEVER noticed them before.

I’m going to just go with the blind option. It makes the truth hurt less. Especially when you know turtles roll so deep at this park that they were stacked on top of each other. Literally.

turtle power

Bow chicka bow wow! What?

It feels so…motherly to go to the park with my daughter. Especially now that she’s at the age where she can point at the ducks and say, “DUH!” (clearly a GENIUS) and clap and smile and wave. When did I have a baby that became a child? WHERE DID THE TIME GO?!?!

Seriously though. She was a baby. And now she really is this little person, with a personality, and a mind, and a true definition. Why didn’t anyone tell me how quickly she’d go from this:

to this:

Man. She was so…

FAT.

This makes me wish we lived in the same area for a park date. My son is the same way.

When he sees ducks he dances and goes “Quack quack”

It is amaazing as they grow up and get little personalty’s. She is seriously one of the cutest little girls ever.

Time flies when you’re having fun and utterly IN LOVE with your wee one… enjoy each stage because one day she will be a teenager (or an 11 YO) and they do not-so-cute things that show their ‘personality’.

Wait ’til she hits 19 then come talk to me. I’m still in shock that my oldest child will be 20 while my *baby* is turning 11 in one month. Where does the time go indeed.

Your daughter is a doll! Everytime I see Maddie’s picture it never fails to lift my spirits and bring a smile to my face. :)

Wanted you to know…I was at the grocery store the other day and they said “would you like to donate to the March of Dimes”? and I thought of you and your little girl and I said “Sure”. Just wanted you to know you are reaching people and making a difference!

How fun! I love duck chasing at the park! We used to take our old bread and feed it to the ducks at one park… until one day, they turned on us! Maybe they needed some Bowchickabowbow. Not sure. Hmmmmm.

Okay, so yeah, your daughter? Ummm… prettiest eyes winner when she gets to junior high, yo!

What great photos! I love that The Chicken is still not too big to go to the park. Giggles on the other hand will sit in the car and text her friends. Fourteen year olds are no fun!

Maddie and Mira would get along so well – Mira’s two favorite park things are swings and ducks, too. We’re decorating the entire second bathroom in ducks just because of her obsession with anything that quacks.

And yeah, the transition from baby to toddler sneaks up on you, doesn’t it?

(And I see your March of Dimes Mom logo! Yay!)
