Oh my dear. I just found your blog, and I truly feel for you. My Godsons were delivered at 28 weeks and were in the NICU for 2.5 months as well. So I am somewhat familiar with your experience. And many of the things you described (your experiences in the NICU, your emotions, the rehospitaliztion) are all things that my Godsons mother (and my dearest friend) had cried on my shoulder about. Her children were in and out of the hospital for similar reasons time and again. And I'm so happy to say that they are now healthy, happy, thriving 4 year old boys. So hang in there. The road to raising a premie is a bumpy one, but the reward is so worth it. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

And incidentally, I went to UCLA and lived in LA/Santa Monica for 10 years. Had surgery in UCLA's Santa Monica Hospital myself, so I'm intimately acquainted with your current surroundings.

Sending you my warmest wishes and healthiest of thoughts. Hang in there Maddie! You can do it little girl.

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this with your daughter. It's hard when babies get sick, because they're so little and helpless. Hang in there.
